Palfrey Asks for Closed Door Hearing to Discuss Muslim Clients

The woman accused of being the D.C. Madam now argues that the fact that Muslim men used her elite, Washington-based escort service before the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks might have played a role in the government's effort to prosecute her.

Deborah Jeane Palfrey says she might need to divulge classified information that has sensitive national security implications -- perhaps including the identities of Middle Eastern customers -- to defend herself against the charges. She is asking a federal judge for a hearing behind closed doors to discuss the information as it relates to the government's charges

bushco does what Family Saud wants. US bases out of Arabia, check. Bin Laden family safely out of US in days of NO FLY after 9-11, (first denied,finally proved) check.Osama Bin Laden wanted Saddam out of Iraq, check. Cover for unseemly behavior with high priced call girls (or whatever)? One could imagine this to be likely based on bushco subservience to all things oily.

Knew some sons of rich and famous Middle Eastern families who were in US for school. Some of them were very callous party animals and others were exasperated trying to ride herd and make their cousins behave, at least in public. It was interesting. The position I held at the time was, to them, that of a servant, and so my presence was disregarded. Got to hear some interesting quarrels about unseemly behavior.
