1. K and R
I, along with many others, have always known Al was better
than shrub. Plus, Al's influence has been positive, shrub's
has been negative.

7. Bill Gates or Robert Gates
Bill Gates actually did get his degree from Harvard. Yes, he dropped out, but he later went back to college and recently received his degree. However, I thought I saw the name Robert Gates. I just assumed they were talking about Robert Gates the Secretary of Defense.

16. no, he just got an honorary degree.
A relative graduated from Harvard this summer so I was there when Gates got his honorary degree. He kept making jokes like, "see, Dad? I told you I'd come back and get my degree!" but it was an honorary doctorate of letters.

5. Bush Should Not Be Number 2
Bush should not be number 2 on this list. Hasn't Harvard put out enough influential people for Bush to not be number 2. In addition, I do not think Al Gore should be number 1. I contend the list needs a little changing. Edward Kennedy needs to be moved up on the list as well as the Fed chairman and the Supreme Court Justices. Kennedy has tried to push and push many different types of legislation. Mr. Berneke has influence because of his position. The Supreme Court Justices in that they have the ability to influence our law, which influences everyone in the country. Finally, Wall Street and at least some of our economy and the world's economy depend on what Berneke says and does to determine what is going to happen.

On another note how has Bush been influential? I know he has had an impact, but I am thinking of more when I think in influential. Maybe my definition of influence is wrong, but I see influence as getting people to do certain things. I do not see that Bush has inspired or caused anyone to do anything. I think Rove was the person who was influential. For as poor of a performer and overrated as Rove was he was the reason that Bush had any success. Without Rove Bush would have never been anything in politics. Anything that people could be said to have done during the Bush Administration can be attributed to Karl Rove.

12. My Point
My point was not Bush himself had not had any influence whatsoever. I tend to think it was Rove who had more influence in that without Rove Bush mostly likely would never have been President.

8. Bush went to Yale
How could he be considered an influential alum if he didn't go there?
