"Australia Expects Full Scale Riot For Bush" --Rawstory LINK

http://rawstory.com//news/2007/Australian_police_warn_of_riot_over_0905.html

"But authorities successfully appealed in the courts for a curb on the main protest action planned for Saturday, which police estimate could attract up to 20,000 demonstrators.

Chief superintendent Steven Cullen, head of the state Public Order and Riot Squad, said he had never been so worried about a demonstration in his career, predicting "horrendous" implications for public safety.

"Police lines will come under attack and a full-scale riot is probable," Cullen told the Supreme Court.

<snip>

"Cullen told the court he had "absolutely no doubt" minority protest groups would attempt to violently disrupt the march and people would be hurt if there was a crush near the fence or they were pushed into glass-fronted buildings."

6. Good! Maybe the Aussies can demonstrate in a way we 'Murkins don't seem capable of
We The People have GOT to make our dissatisfaction clear. Walking, carrying signs, singing songs isn't getting it done. 10 million people protested (world wide) prior to the US invasion of Iraq. Those protests didn't check the Administration one inch.

This administration is so insulated in its arrogance, so insulated in its hubris, that peaceful demonstrations are useless.

7. The Aussie cops are falling behind!
They're afraid they won't have enough provocateurs in place.

Advice to protesters, BRING CAMERAS!!! LOTS OF CAMERAS!!!

Do to the Aussie provocateurs the same that was done to those assholes in Quebec.

8. Phone cams are great..
Because as soon as you take the picture or video you can send it somewhere so even if the phone cam is confiscated the images are safe.

It seems like damn near everyone has a phone cam these days, with sufficient images and video a very accurate and detailed account of the proceedings can be reconstructed.

9. It is also being reported that the WH insisted on only still pics of his meetings with Howard...
... no video allowed.

Just another way to control what gets into the media.

Wonder if Bush will be doing any 'imbibing' while he is overseas? Still pics are better if you are trying to cover up 'drinking.'
