over time, (weekly? daily?)... Skinner could post a stickie header when something of questionable long term political consequence was garnering lots of thread interest and designate that the "hot topic" item for that weeks (day's?) revolving forum. Of course, more work for the mods that would have to move (or lock misplaced threads) for a while, but then we'd see something other than the topic du jour on the latest threads page.

to trawl through a forum and hide all threads containing a certain keyword. It was very handy during Schiavopalooza.
