Wash. Journal this a.m. had numerous Reps/Sens & others on |
|
each for short periods. 90% of the 3 hr. program was blather! nothing but boring blather.
David Walker of the GAO was up first. he, of course, is a neo con. why would any of us believe what he said?
Dem Rep. Bob Filner was the only guest that didn't blather. spoke truth to power.
Dem Rep. Brian Baird is a neo con in Dem clothing. yuck. he was wearing rosy glasses given to him by the neo cons
Sen. Shelby was there speaking blather.
Bob Filner saved the day - gold star

1. C-SPAN Astrotuf...What Else Is New??? |
|
Remember, this network's idea of "fair and balanced" is One Repugnican caller, one "Independent" (Ron Paul, Ron Paul), One Repugnican, One Democrat...
In fairness, I don't consider Walker a neo-con. The original GAO report was anything but a wingnut's whitewash...and he's been critical in the past of the waste of money going on in Iraq. His report will be a glaring contrast to the boooosh Betrayus "report".

2. Walker is a neocon? He sure didn't spout the usual neocon garbage |
|
before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee yesterday--seemed very impartial and had an excellent and realistic grasp of the Iraq situation.

4. I have no idea what his personal views or affiliations are, but when he |
|
spoke to the Senators, he urged them repeatedly to clarify what our military's role in Iraq should be, and what outcome we should expect of that role--and he didn't blow any sunshine up their asses about "progress"--he presented a very balanced view of the situation from the GAO's findings. I can't fault the man--he didn't seem partisan.

5. David Walker is, imho, one of the most trustworthy people in D.C. |

He's diligently non-partisan and as honest as they come. (Think Sgt. Joe Friday without a gun.)
