Faith Hill
Today, Faith Hill was on the Ellen Degeneres Show. While on the show she talked about the incident with her husband and a women in the crowd and the CMA incident. When talking about the CMA incident Hill seemed farely fake. She claimed that what she did at the CMA last year was just a joke and she did not understand how people did not get. Hill claimed that the joke was on herself and that she was just trying to lighten the mood in that the mood that night had been so tense.

A clip of the video was shown while Hill was talking and I did not get the joke when it happened and I did not get it today. She seemed to be very serious to me. I just did not get the joke. What was supposed to be funny? I do not see how anyone could have thought people were going to think what she was going to do would be funny. So, what do other think? Was Faith Hill being fake and just trying to cover up what she did at the CMA awards.

1. Totally looked like a joke to me. I'm not a big fan of her music, but
she seems sweet and possibly has a goofy sense of humor. I saw that clip many times, and it looked like bad high-school acting.

2. I love Faith. She's a good Mississippi-bred Democrat.
And I don't blame her one bit for embarrassing the woman who GRABBED HER HUSBAND'S BALLS.

Faith was one of the few supporters of the Chicks, when the rest of Nashville was turning its back on the Chicks.

Tim and Faith are both good Democrats who helped Katrina survivors when their own government wouldn't. I'm not going to condemn her for what she said to those rabid women fans, one of whom grabbed Tim's balls, and the other who stole his ring.

17. Not What I was Talking about
I was not saying she was fake or wrong in terms of what happened to her husband. I was talking about what she did at the CMA awards. I thought her saying what she did was a joke was fake. I thought she was lying in order to save face.

6. Concert in Lafayette, LA. Women fans acted like idiots...
grabbed Tim's balls, stole a ring off of his finger when he shook their hands from the stage.

Tim left the stage, and Faith said this:

Somebody needs to teach you some class, my friend. You don't go grabbing somebody else's husband's balls. You understand me? That's very disrespectful."

14. LOL! Wow!
I don't see anything wrong at all with what she said. I think I would be ticked if women did that to my hubby.

18. Not What I was Talking About
I was talking about her reaction at the CMA awards when Carrie Underwood won an award. Today Hill was trying to say that she was just joking when she appeared to be angry that Underwood, an American Idiol winner, beat her out for the award. I thought Hill was lying in order to save face.

22. I don't blame Hill about the CMAs, joking or not.
I can't stand Underwood, and was shocked that she won, too.

10. At the CMA's last year she lost to Carrie Underwood, and the camera
showed her reaction, and it looked like she was upset/threw a tantrum, but I maintain it was a staged joke.

5. So what if it wasn't a joke
She's entitled to dark moments, just like everybody else. Leave her alone.

7. I don't think that it was a dark moment.
I think that many wives across America gave her kudos after she set that woman straight.

12. The CMA thing was different from the women grabbing her husband.
Edited on Wed Sep-05-07 01:17 PM by merh
Hell, those ladies should have been arrested for theft and assault.

CMA was when she gasped and said "what" and was shocked that she lost and Carrie Underwood the American Idol won. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyZRiEJnIag&mode=related&search=

It was no big deal in my book, I'd be shocked too if a studio created and pruned little talent contest winner bested me.

About the CMAs, I gasped, too. Can't stand that no-talent Underwood.

Yeah, I thought her going after those women was hysterical, good for her.

The Carrie Underwood thing, I just don't care one way or the other. Carrie is a sweet girl too. Meh, whatever.

Maybe movies upcoming, like National Treasure II, will get into this. Computer shorthand wasn't invented by the geeks. Secret societies got there first long ago.

9. Why does this matter?
so she was either surprised that the American Idol won over her or she was faking it to be funny. Who gives a rat's ass?

Does it take away from her music? Does it take away from the efforts she and her husband have put forth regarding helping Katrina survivors?

Walk a mile in her shoes and then take the time to bitch about it.

On second thought, don't bother bitching, it's not that important in the whole scheme of things.

The incident at the CMA's looked like a joke to me. If she were serious, I could understand that too. I would not want to lose to a bimbo such as Carrie Underwood. :puke:
Faith and Tim are of the VERY FEW decent people in country music these days.
