Did anyone hear Bush badmouth the US Congress this morning?
I was listening to the BBC when it presented a tape of Bush speaking about Iraqi "benchmarks." He was responding to criticism that the Iraq government had failed to meet the 18 goals set by the US Congress

This is the BBC article:

Speaking in Sydney after a meeting with the Australian Prime Minister John Howard, Mr Bush said: "The security situation is changing, so that reconciliation can take place."

He added that the fact that Iraqi legislature passed 60 pieces of legislation "was illustrative of a government that's beginning to work".

The set of 18 political and military goals for Iraq were set by Congress, which asked the GAO to inquire whether they had been met.

Its report issued on Tuesday said Iraq had failed to live up to key targets on reducing sectarian violence and passing laws on oil revenue sharing.

BBC

What isn't reported here is that after reporting the statistic of "60 pieces of legislation passed," Bush went on to say, "That's more than our legislature has passed..."

I nearly fell out of bed! **** you, George! You ****ing liar and sleazoid! I hope you rot in the Hell of your own making!!!

1. this maladministration has convinced me there is no deity-- at least not a loving one, for no loving
deity would allow him and his lying, murderous, thieving cronies to continue to waste oxygen.

3. I'd like to know what the purposes of each of the 60 pieces of legislation were.
1. What color to paint the cafeteria of the new U.S. embassy.
2. How much hot dogs in the commissary should cost.
3. Should the American President get his own palace when he comes to visit in secret.
