Posting over at humanevents.com, a right wing blog, is easy and fun.

So far I haven't even had anything deleted and I'm making them look like idiots (not hard I know).

Like many atheists I know enough about the Bible to tie a lot of fundies in knots theologically speaking and I'm having a great time doing it.

When I point out that the Christ never mentioned homosexuality but that He did condemn hypocrisy and divorce they get in a real lather and start quoting Leviticus. That is a mistake on their part because Leviticus has prohibitions on all sorts of things from shellfish to rare steak.

Then I point out that Rudy, John and Fred are all divorced with "trophy wives"..

I've been calling Craig "Senator Widestance (R-Peepingtom)" and they hate it..

1. As an atheist, Isn't it just amazing what believers don't know
about their own religion's? Most of the Xtians I know have never even heard of the council of Nicea and the council of Trent is non existent. Stupid assholes! Some Shamen waves a bunch of incense around and they think they have found God.

2. The truly funny thing
Is that it's ridiculously easy to look up what you don't know or aren't sure about, and they can't even do that.

It's been almost forty years since I stepped inside a church and I've forgotten more than most of the fundies will ever know.

But, like riding a bicycle, it comes back when you really need it..

I think that most of the fundies really lack the mental horsepower to truly read and understand the Bible. The great majority just depend on someone else to do their interpretation for them and swallow what they are told whole without any critical thought.

The Reconstructionist Calvinism philosophy espoused by many fundies gives me the shivers, it's so antithetical to what the Christ preached that they have to be nearly brain dead to buy it.
