NewsBusters and Jack Keane get NewsBusted
NewsBusters has smeared Fareed Zakaria for saying that there is ethnic cleansing in Iraq.

There is also some dishonesty from Jack Keane and NewsBusters:

"Keane pounced: “Both of you are really not describing what's happening in Iraq. I mean, you're in the past, to be quite frank about it. The Sunni insurgency has gone through a conversion. They have thrown the towel in. They have now saddled up along side of us...”"

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brent-baker/2007/09/05/abc-keane-rebukes-zakaria-who-charged-army-presided-over-ethnic-cleansi

Conflict of interest much?

I just love it how these guys let Keane be the one to say the Surge and policy in Iraq in working, but yet they don't mention that he was the one came up with the new policies in the first place.

"Gen Jack Keane, architect of the US "surge""

"General Jack Keane, the architect of the US troop "surge" in Baghdad"

"General Jack Keane, the architect of the surge strategy"

There is no problem with having Keane being on TV and supporting the surge, but the people who write for NewsBusters must think it's readers and people who believe in what they say are all idiots. The least NewsBusters and the remaining supporters of the "surge" could do is say that Keane is the guy who came up with the policies.

For a site that claims to be about "exposing and combating liberal media bias", it seems as though this group needs to expose and combat it's own Pro-Bush, Pro-Quagmire bias.
