What would you do if you were Larry Craig?
Edited on Thu Sep-06-07 10:22 AM by mdmc
I wouldn't resign. I would come out of the closet and be a log cabin gadfly.
I would be the new Ben Stein tellin the truth and tellin jokes.
I would talk shit about bigots. I would talk shit about the left's shameful joy about my gay downfall. I would talk shit about the run up to the war and about political corruption. I would talk about corporations and how they rule the world.
I would be on the Colbert Report, hamming it up with the host.
I would be on Real Time, betting Bill that he has had sex with a stranger in a public bathroom.
I would try to get a cameo on the family guy (perhaps Craig could fight with the old man pedophile character over a freshly vacated stall).
I would do a movie with Paris Hilton and OJ Simpson.
And I would come out for gay rights.

"I thought that you were going to resign."
"That was my intent. I intended to resign. Just like I intended to go to the bathroom before getting on my flight. Things have a way of going off course of your intentions. The highway to hell is paved with good intentions."

What would you do if you were Larry Craig?

1. I would get out of the limelight, out of politics, and live
my life however I choose to live it -- Although I like your plan too, but I don't handle stress well ;)

5. I'd do exactly what James McGreevey did. I WOULD resign

but only because coming out, closing the books on my marriage, getting into a meaningful gay relationship, and devoting the rest of my life to ensuring that no other gay person lived as I had would be far more important jobs.
