How long before Thompson's campaign implodes?

I predict that Thompson is going to chunk it big time – and soon. The downfall of his campaign will be either the result of a fatal gaffe captured for all the world to see on You Tube (al la Macaca), or the release of a nasty skeleton from his closet by the progressive blogosphere. unless they're Dems. He'll be in for a while, at least until the next debate. It wouldn't surprise me if Rove gets involved in Thompson's campaign, in which case he probably won't implode.

I can not see him making a "macaca" class mistake. He seems to cool for that to happen.

I think he is going to lose his "Yeah, I'll support you" crowd when they figure out he has no substance. People want his Law and Order character, and once they figure out that they are not going to get him, "NOTA" will be leading the Republican polls again.
