Bong Hits goes back to court
http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/newsreader/story/9281700...

'Bong Hits' case goes back to court:

Despite a U.S. Supreme Court ruling this year on Joseph Frederick's free-speech case, the legal debate is not over, the Juneau Empire reports. The Supreme Court remanded the case back to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and Frederick’s attorney Doug Mertz says there are still disputes to be resolved on state free speech laws, civil liability issues and whether Frederick can sue the school district for damages.

During a trial, Mertz tells the paper, he would show that Frederick's message in unfurling the 14-foot banner ‘Bong Hits 4 Jesus’ was not pro-drug but in fact a protest favoring student speech.

1. Yeah, OK
Whatever. I still think the school has the ability, and arguably the duty, to control this type of speech. I'm sure I'll get blasted, but I have my asbestos nut cup on.

3. Normally, I'd be happy. But this just equals more legal fees for Ken Starr.
Then again, Ken Starr's law firm is a big supporter of Hillary Clinton.
