Linktv needs help.
This is one of the finest tv stations in this nation. They carry Amy Goodman's Democracy Now. An extremely accurate and informative hour each night on Middle East news called Mosaic. And they've had Gore's speeches, his entire film on global warming, An Inconvenient Truth. They've had on 9/11 discussion that go far beyond the typical. All without commercials.

I not only fear the loss of this valuable media outlet, but I also dream of a country where outlets of this quality flourish. If we were to all help with small donations, this station would be able to do more than it already does.

Even if you don't get cable, just know this is a very rare station.

3. Not to mention their music videos.
There are few places one can see such unique and rare expression.

I value being different. It's counter to the commercial standard that we are used to.

4. I've been impressed with their environmental documentaries.
There aren't many places to see this kind of programming. I'm sorry they're confined to a couple of cable channels. But very thankful that we have Linktv at all.

5. I contribute to LinkTV, and will do so again!
The programming is good and they also run documentaries that I don't see anywhere else. When I go to the grocery store, the liquor store, etc., I alternate between carrying an Air America radio bag and a LinkTV bag. Not only do some people comment on the need to do this to save trees, reduce the use of plastic, etc., but the logos stay in their minds.

Just doing what I can to help raise awareness in my very repuke part of the country.

Please don't forget FreeSpeech TV, either! :hi:

9. I donated to them. They are so worth it for many reasons.
They ran a program about the Iraq War during last winter's fund drive...I wish I could remember the name of it...anyway it was a documentary produced and directed by a veteran that contained amateur footage from four different reservists (all from NH, I think) who got deployed at about the same time. It contained the most chilling footage of what goes on over there I could ever imagine. I actually couldn't believe they were able to broadcast it without the Pentagon or White House stopping them. There was footage of an actual IED attack and the return fire from the troops in the convoy that made my stomach turn. They were ordered to shoot anything that moved after an attack...and they did...on a crowded street. It was horrible to watch. I can't imagine how horrible it was to be one of the troops who were shooting into the crowds wondering if another IED was going to go off or worse yet, one of the people in the crowd just trying to scratch out a days living while bombs and machine guns tear your world apart.

Link TV is the crack in the iron curtain that lets a little bit of the truth in. They deserve all the support we can give them.
