Congressman TomTancredo said waterboarding was NOT torture
In the rethuglicon debate.....

My God. This is a man who is running for the Presidency of Our United States.

The water board technique dates back to the 1500s during the Italian Inquisition. A prisoner, who is bound and gagged, has water poured over him to make him think he is about to drown.

Water boarding was designated as illegal by U.S. generals in Vietnam 40 years ago. A photograph that appeared in The Washington Post of a U.S. soldier involved in water boarding a North Vietnamese prisoner in 1968 led to that soldier's severe punishment.

International law
All countries that are signatory to the UN Convention Against Torture have agreed they are subjected to the explicit prohibition on torture under any condition, and as such there exists no legal exception under this treaty which states, No exceptional circumstances whatsoever, whether a state of war or a threat of war, internal political instability or any other public emergency, may be invoked as a justification of torture. Additionally, signatories of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights also agreed to its Article 5, which states, No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

2. Reading through many of these and knowing that this entity has
his finger on the button is torture enough for me.

3. Reality check:
Waterboarding is not torture

Right. And:

The Axis of Evil is about to invade the USA
Saddam's WMD are in a safety deposit box in Syria
Katherine Harris had the Florida Senatorial election stolen from her.

What have I left out?

Oh yeah: Big Macs are good for you and help
your body reduce LDL cholesterol, along with
Belgian chocolate truffles and New York Cheese
Cake.

Listening to Tancredo's drivel should be designated
as cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment.

14. Don't think it didn't hurt
I was diagnosed with dangerously high cholesterol
three years ago, and was not supposed to have survived
(emergency stent implantation, and the Grim Reaper was
very pissed that I didn't keep my appointment). I have
had exactly one piece of cheesecake in the last three
years, and even that was probably one piece too many.

I long, oh how I long for it............

4. Then he should be willing to demonstrate that, right?
He should be waterboarded in front of Congress to prove it.

It could be pay-per-view, to raise money for victims of torture.
