What's your opinion of Michael Savage's mental health?

The more snippets of this guy's show I hear, the more unintentionally entertaining it gets...not to mention a bit sad.

Savage is remarkable, in that he is a Jew who says that he is strong with the jewish identity yet he repeatedly refers to exterminating Liberal Vermin...WHICH IS EXACTLY HOW THE NAZIS REFERRED TO THE JEWS.

Leaving all the other evidence of his insanity aside, this alone is evidence of compartmentalization and cognitive dissonance that equals that of the original Nazis he is patterned after (just call the Jews "Liberals" and Germany "America" and much of Savage's insane ranting sound much like Julius Streicher's.

11. Narcissistic personality disorder mixed with paranoid schizophrenia

With a smidge of intentional theatrics mixed in.

I'll confess occassionally I will listen to a small bit of his show after my Randi is over with, just for kicks and giggles.

He's a classic nacissistic personality disorder in that he claims to be a great thinker and philosopher (when I think his PHD is in what, weeds?). He'll compare himself to Robert Frost, Winston Churchill, or other notable historical figures when it is clear he actually is just a pathetic little talk show host with an equally insane audience.

He also exhibits severe symptoms of paranoia as of late. I think his most recent deal is that the San Francisco city council is out to get him for things he said on illegal immigration. Or something like that. I don't know, most people don't care. He's constantly calling for various people he views as his "enemies" to be thrown in mental institutions or jail. I think the mental institution comments are the most telling as his own projection.

If this guy were ever elected to a position of leadership, I would seriously think we would have someone disturbed along the lines of Adolph Hitler in power--I'm not joking. As another poster said, substitute some of his "enemies" for "jews" and "gypsies" and you'd find errie similarities to the Nazi leader. But given that he is only the host of a radio talk show, the remedy is much easier and can be found in a simple "click".

Ironically, you'll often hear him criticizing President Bush, among many other targets. But it is almost exclusively always for the most wrong of reasons (not tough enough on immigration, terrorism, Iraq, etc.)
