2. Exactly. It's not a liability for him. Now if we started tagging him...
...as a criminal instead of an idiot, maybe we could peel off more of the remaining 28%.

3. you on a roll today ain't you Boss
if there was ever a need for the separation of church and state it is now more obvious than it has ever been before. people who put their faith in some out worldly Deity rather than the people on this earth right now worry me and always have, but thats just me. Maybe its because I'm just a dumb assed stump jumper though, who knows.

11. You are too kind My Friend
the chuckleheads in bush's party make it too easy. I got into it yesterday with a rather religious person who was lamenting the death of some yahoo big time preacher (can't recall his name, maybe Kenney.) I guess I started it but I said as a veteran and a citizen of the land of the free I found the man's statement that his job was to bring our country back to Christ pretty fucking offensive. Your fears are valid. We just had an Air Force Bomber go halfway across the country loaded with Nukes and the evangelists are trying to fill our cockpits with their own???

Be free to practice your religion but don't fuck with my constitution.

13. the framers knew what it would lead to and thats why we have the separation of church and state
or used to have anyway. the putting of in god we trust on our currency to me was one of the the first major steps the fundies took to weasel their way into our constitution. IMHO that is

7. Exactly how is the world -free-??
I just don't see much freedom around me lately.

All I see is more and more encroachments on
human rights and protections, including my own.

That video of the activists getting arrested in DC
this week really clinched it for me.. and the idea
that my assets could be seized simply for protesting
the war.

And then there's the way the poor folks in Katrina have
been treated, and the way people have been prevented
from voting or not having their votes counted.. along with
the deliberate control of information and the impending
possibility of a two-tiered internet.
