NBC: Bin Laden criticizes Democrats for being unable to stop the war in Iraq

Several intelligence agencies were looking at the 25-minute video — the first new images of the terror leader in nearly three years.

The tape contains no specific threat, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News' Robert Windrem. Officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the

Officials said bin Laden criticized Democrats in Congress in the video for being unable to stop the war in Iraq. The al-Qaida leader also urged young Muslims to carry out suicide bombings against the West — a piece of advice he offers in most tapes.

It is almost like the bu$h regime is taunting the Democrats through the Bin Laden tape
I find it strange that he would criticize the Democrats

But that could just be me and my paranoia of the bu$h regime and the things they will do.

2. Any criticism of the Democrats for failing to stop the war or even the
funding of the war is well deserved.

The drum beats are getting louder and I worry * will pull some terra crap for 9-11. This tape could just be the beginning of quite a display.

27. Who is translating this tape?
Bushies? This statement concerning Dems could go both way, politically. Bush can say that Bin Ladin wants us to leave Iraq and we can't afford to let Osama decide when and how we turn the country over to their citizens. The Dems can't act like Osama will dictate their view on the situation. The tapes are BS. They are "Breaking News" on the tv. No, not breaking news, just talking points put out by the Mass Hysteria Media. Why are they making it such a big deal since this govt. of ours has Failed to capture him in 7 years. Bush said years ago that Osama was not a big deal anymore, yet, his tapes get world attention?

Come on Democrats, speak out, take a chance, tell the truth to the people, the hell with Osama. Iraq has been a failure since the day george decided to destroy that country.

The Dems in Congress need to be honest when discussing Iraq and putting bills before the House and Senate concerning money being approved to continue to make more war on the poor damned Iraqis. The Iraqis get lost in this whole issue. Our democrats on the Hill are mostly Smart people, just too busy playing politics. That is why I put much hope and confidence that Biden can, did and will give us a good plan and scheme to deal with Iraq. Notice, Biden doesn't have a jillion dollars in his bank account or in stocks. That tells me something about his character. He isn't bought and paid for and in these days that is obviously important. Honesty is needed in our govt, for a change. Nancy P. and Reid are huge disappointments.

21. Yes, and why would...
...bin Laden say anything that would help George Bush?

What a lovely set up. bin Laden criticizes the Democrats for failing
to stop the Iraq war. Patreus is set to address Congress and give his
big, "We need more time. We can't end the war now. Things are going well"
speech.

The lack of success in Iraq and the tireless "Just one more chance!" pleadings
of the Bush administration would have been a perfect opportunity for the Dems
to criticize the war and demand that the war end.

Now, thanks to bin Laden's tape, if the Dems DARE to try to end the war or
even talk about ending it---it looks as if we are aligned with bin Laden.

Fucking brilliant. Anyone really think the timing of this tape is a
coincidence? The Dems are, in effect, muzzled post-Patraeus speech.

that he lashed out to an innocent country. Osama couldn't have planned it better. He probably decided bush would concentrate on Afghanistan, but no, it got better. Bush chose to strike a country that had nothing to do with al queada. Got the whole Arab world pissed.

All this tape does is remind us that bin Laden hasn't been caught. Catching him must be our top priority (and then publicly hang him at Ground Zero).

Tuesday I'm going to take a few minutes to memorialize those killed on 9/11 and then as far as I'm concerned, it's a regular work day.

30. Even the FBI doesn't credit Osama with 9/11
CAUTION

USAMA BIN LADEN IS WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE AUGUST 7, 1998, BOMBINGS OF THE UNITED STATES EMBASSIES IN DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA, AND NAIROBI, KENYA. THESE ATTACKS KILLED OVER 200 PEOPLE. IN ADDITION, BIN LADEN IS A SUSPECT IN OTHER TERRORIST ATTACKS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

FBI 10: Osama

I wonder why the FBI doesn't include "9/11" on its list of OBL's crimes. Do they know something we don't?

42. I recall they even admit they don't have enough evidence against
him to put him on the list for that! He's on it for the embassy bombings, but I think the FBI even admitted that the evidence on 911 is not up to their standards for this list!

This is one of those media "truths." You don't even need your :tinfoilhat: Bin Laden is crazy enough to claim credit for it even if he had nothing to do with it.

There's been no real investigation. The media has simply repeated this since 911. We don't even know for sure who the 19 hijackers were.

This makes it very clear.

We're actually supposed to believe that on the eve of the Patraeus speech, that
OBL appears to make it more difficult for the Dems to criticize the war--and that
this is all some big coincidence?

OBL supposedly hates all of the infidels in America and wants us all murdered--men,
women and children. We're supposed to believe that he's actually into something as
prosaic as political bickering between Democrats and Republicans?

So, we all deserve to be murdered in cold blood---and by the way, the Democrats
are weenies!

Who's writing his stuff?

God, they don't even try hard to fool us any more!

the service of the CIA! He was paid royally by the US to take the blame for 9/11/2001 and promised that he would never be caught. These videos are meant to support the Bush agenda. The one from 2004 was credited with 'saving Bush's reelection' and this one is to drive home how no one can stop Bush.

34. This video...
...is to back the Dems into a corner if they decide to criticize the
Patraeus speech.

The Patraeus speech is an opportunity for the Dems to haul ass and win the
debate. All they have to say is, "Is the Bush Administration once again asking
us for more time, and telling us that 'things are going swimmingly?' How many times
are we going to hear that a failed war is succeeding? How many more soldiers will
die before George Bush faces reality?"

The Democrats have the truth, reality and the American people on their side. The Reps
know it.

They're attempting to muzzle the Dems in the only way they possibly can---by equating
criticism of the war with being on the side of the terrorists.

Fucking transparent thug motherfuckers. God, this just makes me so sick.

If the Dems had any balls whatsoever, which they don't---they would capitalize on this
and shout, "We will not cower to Osama bin Laden or Al Queda! America will not allow
terrorists to determine our foreign policy or allow us to destroy our Constitution or
civil rights or leave our nation a bunch of terrified pansies afraid to do the right
thing---end this insane, failed war that is killing our soldiers and robbing this nation!
We are not afraid of Osama bin Laden! We will not allow Al Queda or Osama bin Laden to
dictate what is said in this country and what our foreign policy is!

But no....they'll do what they usually do...NOTHING. Absolutely nothing that makes any
difference. Maybe they'll write a letter to Bush, demanding this or that...or criticizing
him. Big frickin whoop!

Welcome to the United States of America--where sociopathic thugs have taken over the government
and the Democrats sit idly by on the sidelines wringing their hands and writing letters.
