OBL Tapes - How do they reach the news?

Every time one of those tapes come out, I'm just thinking to myself why can't the military or whoever just track down the source?

If the tapes are genuine the steps should look something like this
1- Filming
2- Editing
3- Film ready to view
4- Sent out/uploaded or whatever (Can't someone investigate this step thoroughly? The technology should already be there)
5- All over the news



It's been 6 years, and he's still able to get away with sending out tapes? Can someone explain this?

1. Osama and crew are in the basement. They put the camera on a table, hit record, and turn it off ten minutes later. That's steps one through three.

Then, eventually, the tape ends up in Kandahar, where some 19 year-old suicide bomber in training gets it. He makes a few copies for his buddies to watch on Friday night, and then, after he wipes the prints, he puts it into an unmarked envelope addressed to some guy he knows from 'the camps' who lives in Qatar.

He blows it, though, because while the guy in Qatar has the tape, he already gets his buddies to post a few pics on a banner crawl at a popular Internet site for Islamic terrorists -- kind of like what would happen if a Freeper got hands on an exclusive Timothy McVeigh interview. Now it's all over the news, and the guy in Qatar is getting paranoid and has to find a whole new group willing to post it/send it out anonymously.

5. The AP hears about it, because all of those gay translators who got shitcanned from the army needed jobs, and now the frigging newspaper's got more Arabic translators monitoring the Internet than
the Department of Defense and Homeland Security combined.

yet another reason why it is so incompetent, at the least, of Bush and his people not to have found bin Laden by now.

To be honest, I was one of those who thought he was dead -- all we were getting forever were audio tapes. Now that we have another video again, I have to rethink, at least. But why the hell can't they break the chain you lay out? Who are they sending it to, plus, at least with this one, they also contacted some webmaster(?) (no techie here) to pre-announce on the Internets that the video was about to appear!

Maybe it IS a high-tech Hollywood-style digital creation from Bushco. I reserve judgement, at least tonite, not being a techie (or even up on how to use photoshop on still pics.)

5. What is the ruling on dying hair?

The ruling on dying hair differs for men and women. For men, it is forbidden except for two occassions, which are:

1) One’s hair has turned grey at a young age in which case it is permissible to dye it to its original colour, i.e, black.

2) One’s hair has turned grey due to old age in which case it is permissible to dye it other than the colour black.

3) When one is in war in which case it is permissible to dye one’s hair black to deceive the enemy.

As for women, they are permitted to dye their hair with any colour at any time if the following conditions are observed:
