Why would there be shock that a girl in Europe might have been killed by her mother |
|
and or father. Isn't it often that the parents are the killers of their children? There was a blurb on our local news about it, I don't get the shock.

It's like they pick just one of these missing/murdered children stories to be in the news for days and weeks on end and they ignore the thousands of others.

4. Combination of circumstances I think |
|
Brits abroad. Portugal - we don't know much about it. Professional parents. Vanished child.
It's a classic mystery.

in the miniskirt on Southwest Airlines was for. Everything is so bad I guess they need more than one diversion.

when they just pick certain children to bring up for weeks on end and ignore the rest it's almost as if they are exploiting the exploited.

...it goes against our stereotypes. Only poor, trash, fat, illiterate types kill their children, well, except Patsy Ramsey.....

17. Well, thank ya', ma'am. |

I have just about had it, tonight.
Been reading crap such as Pitt's "I am not really going to jump off the bridge" and such...
Sometimes I feel as if I am in a Junior High School Cafeteria.
I must have better things to do with my time.
But I find this place somehow somewhat fascinating.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like you do about Pitt.
I went to a Catholic grade school (grades 1 thru 8) and an all girls Catholic high school...I don't know what this "Junior High School Cafeteria" is.
I'm kind of watching a show on Discovery called "Lobster Wars", but it's more fun to cruise around DU...there are so many forums to visit and so little time...

I think you'd find there is no more or less shock in Europe or elsewhere about the disappearance of this child. You will also find much evidence to support parents often being child killers.
A lot of this so-called evidence has been thrown out in the last 8 or 10 years. Much of its credibility was laid at the feet of forensic and/or psychological 'experts' who failed the test of close scrutiny.
The tragedy of a mother killing her child is one so intense, so inscrutable that it offends me to see it taken lightly on a board, so I repeat: LINDY CHAMBERLAIN

I had forgotten about Lindy Chamberlain. I had been thinking more about Patsy Ramsey... tragic in both cases.

10. If it turns out to be the fact of the matter it will fly in the face of many dearly held |
|
stereotypes.
The parents were both highly educated. They were not overtly religious. They were:
White. Slim. Attractive. Rich.
Their children were clean and all accounts say they were happy.
I'm not sure what the hell happened but infants and toddlers must never be left alone. The girl is a victim of negligence at the very, very least.
