I wonder if Laura Bush will get her surgery medical claim denied.
I wonder if she had to have it pre-approved. I wonder if she has to make co-payments.

1. She probably doesn't have to worry one little bit about such things.

2. She has the same socialized medicine Congress has
which is the best in the world.

We can't have it, of course, it might make us weak.

12. Yep, doesn't cost a cent on their socialized medical plan .. that we
pay for. :eyes:
GOP hates to be reminded that our congress and president get free, single payer medical care, and it works very well.

15. As I've mentioned before...
...if we're going to fight for what's right (single payer medical care), we have to be accurate when we make our arguments.

When it comes to the President and First Lady, I don't know how it works. But for Congress, unless something has changed very recently, they are NOT under single payer medical care, free or otherwise. They buy into the same plans that other federal workers get. While heavily subsidized by their employer (the government), it is not free, and it is not single payer.

Again, this is not to nitpick, but to point out that we need to be making our arguments from firm ground.

4. Get with the message, valerief. How dare a mere citizen even
question the care lavished upon our rulers. Laura has done so much for us all. How degrading it would be for Her to be treated as a lowly American taxpayer and citizen, grubbing for what medical care is available.

5. I wonder if she'll have the doctors executed when they've finished with her.
I mean, they would have seen too much. Maybe she'll be merciful and only have their eyes removed.

9. She may have a problem with substance abuse and may have a
criminal past, but she's not that stupid.

10. I don't think surgery is even necessary
She got the wrong diagnosis - the pain in the neck is George, not a nerve.

14. Exactly! And don't forget that this surgery was elective, so the choice of when
and where was totally up to her. IMO, it was not a coincidence
that she chose to have it done at a time that made it impossible for her to
accompany her husband on his trip "down under."

It was the perfect way to avoid spending a l-o-n-g amount of travel time
in Georgie-porgie's company.

How con-VEEEEN-yent.
