Buzz Aldrin: Nowak Should Be Admired For Trip
Aldrin: Nowak Should Be Admired For Trip

Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, said the former astronaut accused of attacking a romantic rival at Orlando International Airport should be admired for her nonstop cross country trip.

"I think (Lisa) Nowak should be admired for traveling across the country at night and not getting out of her car to put in gas or got to the restroom," Aldrin said.

Aldrin's comments about Lisa Nowak were reported in the current issue of "Time" magazine.

Aldrin also said that he thought what Nowak is accused of doing after the trip is inexcusable.

Hmmm Let's see. I left Ohio in May for California in a honking big ass moving truck, alone with two dogs. I made it about 70 miles west of Albuquerque before stopping for any rest (though I did stop and get gas as needed) - about 1520 miles in one clip (without diapers).

Should I be admired too :)

1. I once did San Francisco to Chicago with a buddy in 33 hours without stopping.
Of course, we were 20, insane and drinking a tremendous amount of coffee.

3. The Ole Buzzer
If that's what he thinks then he's entitled. After all when Gemini XII's rendesvous radar went out, he whipped out a sextant and did it himself, he was definately the smartest astronaut we produced, and it wasnt a mistake he was on the first landing mission on the moon. DID he punch out the interviewer after?
