Troops are still in Iraq and most assuredly will remain there for many, many more years. When the Iraq Study Group released it's study and recommendations America was fairly united on withdrawing our troops. Bush* did the opposite and has rallied a lot of support for continueing on with the "success" of the "Surge". On Jan 20th 2009 when the next President takes their oath of office the USA will still have over a hundred and forty thousand troops on the ground in Iraq and Bush* will leave office as "the winner" against the Democrats. He really doesn't give a rat's patooty about America only that he whipped the Democrats...He knows someone a lot smarter than him will come along and clean up his mess.
