Make no mistake: ANY Democrat who votes to fund the occupation of Iraq funds the rape of Iraqi girls
Edited on Sun Sep-09-07 10:40 AM by derby378
Lest we forget:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15733192

After all this pithy talk about protecting "our kids" and getting them the vehicles and armor they need, after all the lofty speeches of how we need to create a stable puppet government in Iraq while putting the final touches on that grotesque US embassy in Baghdad that looks not unlike a supermax lockup in the States, after all the rhetoric of keeping troops in Iraq "until the job is done" and the natural resources of Iraq have been robbed from the Iraqi people - the only thing that is left is the Butcher's Bill.

And just remember that for every atrocity such as those in Haditha and Mahmoudiya that has been reported, how many atrocities have gone ignored or even buried by the Bush administration?

Any Democrat who votes to continue funding the occupation votes to continue the atrocities.

1. So, any Dem who votes funds for schools is funding Teacher/Student abuse?

12. Your "logic" is just plain silly, derby.
Unless you're claiming there's are official "Rape Squads" operating in Iraq.

5. Simplistic argument
and one that would be MASSIVELY rejected by the American people.

I'm happy that my Senators and reps will not vote for funding the war, but this is just a lousy argument.

6. I refuse to believe that the majority of Americans want Iraqi girls raped
Oh, sure, a bunch of neo-conservatives and assorted psychopaths would love it, but I have to believe that the average Mr. and Ms. America would not want to see this happen any more than it already has.

7. Do you know what Americans will hear?
They'll hear that American soldiers are being accused of wide spread rape of Iraqi girls. If you think that'll sell, I've got a bridge for you.

10. Most troops do not commit atrocities. Your post is ridiculous and sick.

People disagree about what to do next. We don't deserve your reactionary talk in an already difficult situation.

11. You want to know what's REALLY sick?
Halliburton feeding our troops water that has been contaminated with sewage. That grotesque monstrosity looming over Baghdad that's known as the new US Embassy building in Iraq. The growing schedule of funerals for young US troops who have been cut down in an occupation that was illegal to begin with. THAT is what's really sick. Your anger is better focused on those who have enabled this occupation than on myself.

15. What does help? Staying put for fear of looking bad to the political opposition?
That is sick, twisted logic.

The solution is just too darn hard.

Let's just wait until after the election to worry about it.

Meanwhile more death.

Politics trumps life, I guess.

17. What does help?
Try calling and pressuring your rep or Senator to vote no on the Supplemental and no on all Iraq war funding. Signing petitions, writing cogent letters to the editor, participating in protests against the war. They may not work, but at least, unlike this jackass of an argument, they won't harm the anti-war movement.

The more opportunity there is for more war crimes to be committed.
