I have a question for site mods.
Is ther a way to implement a way to make the forms easier to follow by somehow spacing or colour coding out the responses?

Not in the "responses to this thread" at the top of the thread but in the actual responses below that. So that when you're scanning through them you can see right away whom is responding to whom either by spacing which would probably be tough to do or by color coding the top bars of the responses(which might be tougher). As an example red would be used in response to the OP, a blue bar would be a response to an original response to the OP, and the green would be response to the blue, and then alternated colors between responses to people talking to each other. although this sounds rather complicated , if you can come up with something simpler, it would just be nice to scan through the thread relatively quickly instead of having to go to the top of the page and come back down, especially in large threads.

15. Wait until a thread gets quite large...
and then see if it's easy to keep track of who is responding to whom. Relatively quickly and easily.

19. I'm Just Playin.
I know what you're sayin, I just find it as a minor and not worthy of concern type inconvenience; much like even though I wish someone was always behind me to wipe my ass for me when needed, I put the minor effort into wiping my own ass anyway, without much complaint.

20. I understand you are just goofing around.
To you maybe it does seem as a minor effort and even to me it's not much of an inconvenience it's just that when the threads get larger and larger it just gets little bit more difficult at keeping track to where you're at and in who is talking to who. I just want to make it a little bit easier to navigate the thread by skimming through the entire thread itself. This is so you can gather a quick assessment of each response in detail because you would be looking at the actual response instead of the "responses to this thread" at the top of the post, and have to meander back and forth between that. This is so you can keep with the flow of the thread and the various responses to it. What I would be proposing is that the "responses to this thread" portion would be eliminated and there would only be the actual responses themselves and those would be ordered by either spacing and/or a color coding. That's if it's at all practical.

11. Slashdot appears to have their
comments listed in the same manner as they are here except that the groups are in different colors. I was talking about individual threads and the responses themselves within the groups.

21. Possibly something along those lines.
But after each response to the OP and the replies to that response group them either by spacing or color coding. So in a quick glance you can see who is responding to whom.

7. indenting would work nicely
by only indenting maybe 1 or 2 spaces you wouldn't run into width problems until maybe the 6th nested response.

12. Or may be at the end..
of each group of responses keep a space maintained between them and walk the responses down the thread like shift them to the right until space is gone and bring them back to left, but I was still like a way to keep track of responses between either two or more people talking to each other and who is responding to whom.

8. You mean color-by-nesting level? Maybe I'll do that....
... Color-by-time-of-post might also be interesting.

18. Not real familiar with form dialect..
If you mean my nesting level how the thread is being propagated down the "screen"? Then yes that's what I'm referring to.

17. I'd like to ask Santa
for a "go to last post" button. It would be a big help when the threads get to be a hundred or so posts long.
