|
QUESTION:
If the 2008 election came down to a choice between butterscotch pie and Senator Sam Brownback, for which of the two would you cast your vote?

2. If I offered my true feelings on butterscotch pie, BlooInBloo, it would |
|
skew the results of the poll.
Hint: I can't live without it.

11. I love cooking, but not so much the baking - but mebbe I'll try that sometime... |
|
.... 'Cuz I suspect that you don't commonly encounter such nummies in the bakery of your average grocery store.

12. You are right. Used to be much more common, butterscotch pie. Bakery |
|
trucks would drive through our neighborhood when I was a kid and the common favorites would be lemon meringue, coconut cream, apple, cherry, butterscotch, and in the fall, pumpkin.
We have the local grocery store bake team whip one up for us now and then.

26. Well, as you might expect, here at Brownback headquarters the mood is |
|
a bit depressed. The band began the evening's festivities up-tempo, with several dance numbers, but have gone to a playlist of traditional dirges. Several of the celebrants have dashed home to change and have returned in black attire. Hymnals have been distributed. The lights are dimmed -- something about not being able to afford the electgric bill -- and we're waiting to hear from Senator Brownback, who is upstairs.
Our upstairs reporter, Jeff Gannon, who knows his way in and out of just about any hotel upstairs you can name in greater metropolitan Washington, is with a spokesman from the Brownback campaign now. Let's go to Jeff upstairs and get a comment if we can.
"Jeff? Hello?"
( ) ( )
"Jeff? We're on the air. Hello?"
"Well, that's odd. All I hear is a kind of rhythmic breathy sound ..."
'In any case, the Brownback team can't be encouraged by the results here this evening, having plainly lost to Butterscotch pie in what appears to be a landslide."

. . like "Brownback" come from? That's like taking on the surname Bluefoot or something.

9. It appears from early returns that Butterscotch pie holds the lead. |
|
While many precincts have yet to report, supporters of the Butterscotch pie option must be duly encouraged at this early hour.

19. DU will crash briefly around 10:30; Brownback will be ahead by 2% when it comes back online. |
|
Exit polls will be adjusted to match the new result.

16. Yes, it does. Butterscotch pie, in and of itself, is EVIDENCE of evolution, as |
|
only a truly advanced and evolved culture could so much as produce butterscotch pie.
As to your other question, here too is an evolutionary resonance: the libido is inarguably bolstered by butterscotch pie. Not the ingredients separately mind you, but the thing taken as a whole.
Potent, free-spirited, and totally yummy.
Senator Brownback faces long odds in this match-up.
