So...given the general skepticism this has been met with all around...why would the administration post this? Are they so stupid as to expect people to accept it? Even al-Jazeera is skeptical, as was ABC news.

Why are they really hauling this thing out, given that it seems so improbable on so many levels?

...I just don't understand the sloppiness of the whole thing...there are members of the Photography thread (DS1, regnad kcin, Maestro, etc, etc.) who could do a better job replicating the dude.

I am...puzzled...as to why they would trot out such an apparent fraud...and call further attention to it by changing the beard color...doesn't make sense...
