6. I, actually, love Sean Hannity

...but not for the reasons you might think. I love how he can just make a speech about whatever *he* wants to talk about under the pretext of a debate/discussion show. It's like, there are other people in the studio with him, trying to say something pertinent to them, and he can just tune them out and go on with his diatribe. Talk about showing up for an argument and getting abuse! That's something I can respect. I've been trying to apply it to my personal life for the past couple of years, and I'd say it's been a success. Sure, it annoys my friends, but I sure as hell get my point across and anybody listening in to the conversation *knows* who won... me! What more could I want?

So I just want to say, thank you, Sean Hannity, for teaching me that it's not a "conversation" unless both people want it to be. If your speaking-partner wants a conversation, but you want a speech, than dammit! You can make it a speech! Who cares about those other fools? Not me anymore! Sean Hannity is the man who changed my life.

Last night at around midnight I ran into standstill traffic in downtown Atlanta, which is VERY unusual for that hour. I tuned into to the only station in Atlanta with 24-hour news reporting to see what the hell was going on. That station (WSB) is wall-to-wall hate radio (It's Boortz's home station, as well as Hannity, Savage Wiener, and a couple of other bile spewers I don't like to think about) when not doing every-half-hour news breaks - and sure enough, they were playing a Hannity rerun. I had to sit there listening to his bigotry for a good 10 minutes while I waited for a news break at the half-hour, and I felt like I needed to disinfect my brain afterward.

We met with some of the other reporters, John King and Jeff Greenfield, and a few others in the "media tent during a Presidential Debate.He kept asking me if I wanted a picture, I had a friend who did, and I said he "wasn't a reporter and I had no respect for him ".I said "I would not demean myself". Greenfield and King and the other tall guy white hair Greg from NBC thought it was hilarious!Sean actually followed me around and pestered me.He really is an ego maniac.
