1. I was watching it on CNN

and at that time , hour or so back , they just displayed the name Lantos. I wandered up to the computer and went into CSpan to continue watching it by which time I'd forgotten his name : another couple of DU'ers put me straight.

I have to say I was truly impressed with everything that Tom Lantos's had so articulately to say.

Born to a Jewish family in Budapest, Hungary, Lantos was part of an anti-Nazi resistance movement during the German occupation of that country and sought refuge in a safe house established by Raoul Wallenberg. In 1981 Lantos sponsored a bill making Wallenberg an Honorary Citizen of the United States.
