When is the next IW funding vote scheduled (this month)? |
|
With General David Petraeus fueling BushCo's propaganda war machine today, the next war funding vote will soon be forthcoming.
Last May DEMS caved; will this months vote be any different?
With all the lead up to Petraeus today, I don't think the 6 more months request was any surprise; even less of a surprise was his claim the "surge" is working.
Last May, there was a very cohesive and organized resistance effort prior to the vote; this time folks seem sadly less optimistic. Rather, there seems to be a fatalistic view dominant that it will be --- same as it ever was. And with each cave in, we will lose more faithful Democratic supporters who have grown disillusioned, angry, detached, or have simply moved away.
When is the vote for the next 50 billion?

1. Soon, I suppose, the emergency supplemental request is 141.7B |
|
It's on the approriations commitee webpage, already added on to the running total: http://appropriations.house.gov/pdf/IRAQ%20CHART%2007-07.pdf
