Does this Crocker statement count as plagiarism?
He stated today in his report that

"Extensive displacement and widespread sectarian killings by al-Qa'ida and other extremist groups have gnawed away at the already frayed fabric of Iraqi society and politics. It is no exaggeration to say that Iraq is - and will remain for some time - a traumatized society."

In June of 2006, Christian Science Monitor reporter Scott Peterson wrote,

"The number of kidnappings in Iraq is rising, gnawing away at a social fabric already frayed by violence and insecurity."

Apparently, the Iraqi moths are really doing a number on the wool of society over there. Officials might want to look into getting a contractor to supply moth balls or cedar blocks.
