2. Nearly all of the violence is the fault of Shia militias and Sunni militias
A relatively small number of people are actively associated with Al-Qaeda in Iraq. What we're seeing in Iraq is a civil war that's being prolonged by the US presence. If the US left, the civil war will reach its inevitable conclusion, but not while the US is delaying the conclusion.
