What disease is most important to cure?
AIDs? Multiple Sclerosis? Breast Cancer?

What disease/condition do you think is more important to cure or eliminate?

19. Thanks Toad!
As an MS sufferer, i appreciate that. It's unbelievable how many people i know figure MS isn't that bad because i still have a job and can function.

It's a pernicious, chronic, and nasty disease and it's good to hear that someone else understands.

36. Real diseases?
Milaria and diabetes would be near the top of my list. I'd have to think about it.

I"d like to see pregnant women STOP DRINKING and doing drugs! Alcohol related neurological defects cause so much damage to families and societies, and most people are so unaware of it. It's believed that many people in prison have ARND, which causes poor dicision making, lower IQs, emotional illnesses, etc. The emotional and financial toll on families is just so immense, and the and emotional and financial toll on the public is terrible, as well. And it's completely preventable.

There isn't going to be a cure for autism because it is genetic.

We need to make it work for us more than it works against us.

Depression among world's worst illnesses: study

By Jennifer Macey

Posted Sat Sep 8, 2007 2:32pm AEST

Depression is not only emotionally debilitating - a new study has found it's more physically damaging than many chronic diseases.

Researchers from the World Health Organisation (WHO) have studied data from 250,000 people in 60 countries.

One finding from the study is that people who suffer depression on top of a disease such as angina, asthma, arthritis or diabetes fare worse than if they only had the physical condition.

Experts say better treatment for depression would greatly improve people's overall health.

38. It depends on what disease the person you're asking has.
In reality all are equally important to find cures for.

I'm sure you'll get very different answers depending on who you ask.

And the sickness of obesety goes deeper than just the physical well being of fat people. It speaks much more to a wasteful society and to plain old simple stupidity as well.
