Lieberman Decries ‘Terrible, Partisan, Political Sniping,’ Then Rocks Out With Hannity, Coulter
Lieberman Decries ‘Terrible, Partisan, Political Sniping,’ Then Rocks Out With Hannity, Coulter

On Fox News this morning, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) used a moment of silence commemorating 9/11 to decry the “terrible, partisan political sniping” that he says ruined the “unity that we felt after September 11″:

Let me just say in response to the moment of silence we just were part of, that that unity that we felt after September 11, we have to find a way to get it back because we’ve descended into terrible, partisan political sniping.

Watch it: at link~

Lieberman’s exhaltation that “we have to find a way to get” America’s post-9/11 unity “back” is undermined by his plans for later this evening, when he mingles with some of the most divisive personalities in America today at Sean Hannity’s “Freedom Concert.”

Attending the concert along with the Connecticut Senator are some of the guiltiest culprits of the “terrible, partisan political sniping” that Lieberman professes to decry: Ann Coulter, Oliver North, Rudy Giuliani, Newt Gingrich, and Hannity himself.

Here are just a few examples of their “terrible…sniping”:

6. When guys like that say "unity", they mean, "everyone must agree with me".
Lieberman and Hannity are pining for the jingoism that was prevalent after 9-11. They aren't the first right-wingers to vaguely suggest we need another few thousand Americans to be murdered simply to make their political ideas popular again.

11. I can't stand Liebermann.
You could put a wig on him and he could be Ann Coulter, for all I know. He pretends to be something he is not.

And people like him are exactly the reason why we lost the unity we had after 9/11. Look in the mirror, Joe. YOU ARE TO BLAME!

12. What the hell have we been thru the last seven years with
these republicans in charge. Time after time the democrats have been thrown under the bush, they weren't even allowed to introduce bills at time. I will never forget the time that the ass Sennesbrenner from Wisconsin went into a conference room grabbed the mike away from the democratic speaker and took the equipment and shut off the lights. The same as if he was the boss of everything. And told the democrats if they didn't leave he would call the security police on them. Never never never will I forget that. And if I had my way I would make sure that some how some way this fat asshole would be embarrassed totally and forever. I am sorry in a way I'm not from WI even if he won I could vote against him.

20. What a worthless politician Joe is.
He seems to have no values, he makes no sense when he speaks, he consistently advocates un-American actions that endanger the nation and the Constitution, he....

Wait, of course Lieberman does these things. HE'S A REPUBLICAN!!1
