1. YES! I was just coming here to post that; that was great TV and absolutely
needed to be said. Matthews is angry as hell at Petraeus' response to Warner, not knowing whether we're making America safer by being in Iraq. Chris wants to know than what the hell are we there for and why are these kids dying? Riveting. And Senator Webb is up next.

2. not now but I was........
I was watching while I was eating lunch and I was surprised when Chris began the show by saying that Petraus couldn't say that the Iraq war is making us safer.

Chris made a pretty powerful statement there! And I saw part of Shuster's piece........then I had to go back to work.

3. Today he is Chris Matthews to me, not Tweety
Best job he's ever done....he has had it with the puppet, Petreus, with bush, with Crocker, with the war. He keeps asking, "for what?" "for what?"

The interchange between Matthews and Biden was very emotional...they were both sincere, and I could feel it.

If you missed it today, watch the replay tonight.

5. I see Matthews changing and being more and more antibush, but .......
..... every time I feel he's been praiseworthy, my head goes back to the early days of this administration ....... and Tweety gushing over how butch they are and how he loves them and how right they are and on and on ........

Tweety is one of the REASONS we're in Iraq and Bush is in power. He's been their cheerleader for far too long.

7. Chris Matthews has made me mad as hell, but he was always against
the Iraq war. I was watching today and I teared up along with Joe Biden. As I posted somewhere else, if Joe Biden was acting, he could beat out Fred Thompson for an Oscar. It was extremely moving and I believe Joe Biden was sincere. I know Joe Biden is not popular here with many people. The other day someone even questioned the motives or something of people who would like to see Biden President. I think we have a good field of candidates, as good as we are going to get anyway, and I know some are more of "just the same ole, same ole",to a lot of people. The cynic in me believes that there is something that is so entrenched in our "system" that no one that can ever make the change we want to see will ever get elected.

With Joe Biden, I see a man that can speak well and logically and, dang, today he made me cry. Maybe I'm a sucker for falling for it, but I don't think he feels he has a chance to win the nomination anyway. I just hope he gets a high ranking position in the new Democratic administration IF we win in 2008.
