Report on DemocracyNow! this morning.

A Look At How Petraeus Helped Arm Warring Sunni and Shia Militias in Iraq

On Tuesday, President Bush's top military commander in Iraq returned to Capitol Hill for a second day to urge the continuation of the war in Iraq. We speak with Arun Gupta, an editor of "The Indypendent" about the Petraeus hearings. Gupta's most recent article is titled, "Meet Gen. David Petraeus: His Militia Strategy Plunged Iraq Into a Civil War, And Now He's Back for More." As Americans across the country marked the sixth anniversary of September 11th on Tuesday, President Bush's top military commander in Iraq returned to Capitol Hill for a second day to urge the continuation of the war in Iraq.

But over the past two days neither General David Petraeus nor the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker have given any indication that the U.S. has a strategy to end the war that began almost four and a half years ago.

Petraeus predicted at least 100,000 American troops would still be in Iraq a year from now.

2. it looks to me like beTreyUS is a person who would do anything to further his cause
whatever that is. He lied to us for two straight days, yesterday and the day before and done it to our faces no less. I believe the plan all alone is to steal their oil and a stabilized country would not be conducive to that end

3. I've had the same thought for a long time.
It's not to the cabal's advantage for Iraq to work as a country.

And Don is right on. This guy is a disgrace to the uniform.

5. Peace in Anbar: put the insurgents in charge.
This was all in the works a while back, the saudis were squawking about our anti-sunni policies, and al Anbar was being written off as unwinnable. So they wrote it off. If you can't beat 'em buy 'em out.

6. Petraeus is a liar
Watch this recent video by Michael Ware(CNN). He is interviewing a supreme leader who had led his people to oust AQ. The leader then goes on to state that they will do everything in their power to deny Iraq a unified central government and get rid of the occupation. Included, also, is him interviewing one of our soldiers who tells him that we are giving these dudes uniforms, weapons, and training. Petraeus is a liar.

Dear Lord.
