Tony Snow is giving his final Press Briefing now. CNN
He looks AWFUL!!!! I can't help feel sorry for him. I wish him luck fighting his cancer. Although I'm not hopeful, maybe he'll recover like Spector did.

1. He looks terrible and aged
And I do not wish that fate on anyone. I wish him a full recovery and a good retirement.

4. And I Should Care About This One Way Or Another, Why??
.
Sold his soul for a lie. He got his and does not care about the rest of us. So be it.

6. Don't you care just because he's a fellow human being?
Tony was just doing a job. If it were Shrub or Cheney, I'd feel differently because THEY actually DID the dirty work, but all Tony did was BS the Press. For the real AH's I wouldn't care either.

10. Gaming The System To Your Own Advantage ...
.
can make one rich. But it is still wrong.

Knowing one is telling a lie while one is telling a lie, makes one a lair. Zhe 'I was only following orders. Zhey were alive when I put zhem on zhe train to zhe east. I know nozhing.' shpiel may get a laugh in the movies but the shtick does not wash.

Public figures who lie deserve contempt. Tony Snow's is the face of the lie. He willingly went along with it.

14. No difference in the degrees of lying
If you lie to protect liars then you are no better than the original liars. What is it Bush says- if you harbor a terrorist you are a terrorist.

20. The asshole worked for FAUX NEWS before going to the WH. He chose to be a propagandist lying sack of
crap. He isn't "just doing his job"...he's a lying RW hack. Should Tony care to confess to supporting a regime that has destroyed our country and admit to their CRIMES, then MAYBE I'll toss some compassion his way. Maybe he'll do a death bed confession, but I really doubt he will. He's incapable of telling the TRUTH.

I can have compassion for those who likely have none for me.

End stage colon cancer with liver metastases is horrendous. I would not wish that on my worst enemy.

22. How Long Before His Memoir Comes Out Saying He ...
.
really is a good guy? Will he tell us how he is not responsible? Will he tell us how sorry he is he was placed into such a position?

No one will read it. No one will believe it. No one will buy it.

And it will be a number one national seller.

(No a five letter word for book deal is not bribe.)

5. I care for Tony Snow
about as much as the Administration he professionally lies for cares about Senior Citizens having to choose between rent and food or the medication that saves their lives.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and play the world's tiniest violin.

21. By his on admission, his voice has been affected by his chemo treatment, too
I'm undergoing chemo treatment for the same disease, but with another set of drugs. My voice is not affected, but what hair I have left is now snow white. Everyone says it will grow back when my treatments are complete, but nobody can guarantee what color my hair will be. Methinks my dashing salt and pepper hair days are over. We both have the 'pale face' syndrome because the drugs diminish the bodies ability to protect our skin against sunlight and we have to lurk in the shade. That, too will pass.

13. He fucking lied. Someone asked him about the relevance of the
18 benchmarks, and Spokesliar said the benchmarks were set by Congress. According to Congress, they were set by the Iraqis and the WH. Nothing out of this man's mouth is the truth. He's done a HUGE disservice to the American people, and I have absolutely no feelings of sympathy for him whatsoever.

17. Cancer is such a horrible disease. I'm sorry for you, Tony.
Why are we spending over a trillion in Iraq bringing more cancer to people, to include those we're supposed to be bringing democracy to? Our troops are getting cancer there, too.
