Listening to Kucinich on the Ed Shultz show
folks I have said many of the things he has just said, including that the congress has betrayed the people... and that they might be in trouble in '08 with the American People

Many of us have said this on this board and called all kinds of names.

Perhaps it will take a real leader to tell the its my party right or wrong wing of the party that it is okay to call them on it and even tell them... YOU ARE ON THE WRONG TRACT!

By the way, the only action some of us feel we could take at this time, we have taken.... that is to declare ourselves independent... and yes I expect many to say, but you are not a real democrat... well I have heard the same language from the my country right or wrong... crowd

1. He's the only politician I can fully support.
Straight talk, and lots of courage.

No kissing up to insurance. No kissing up to offshoring giants. No kissing up to free-trade loving corporate overlords.

He's truly concerned with the public interest. That's extremely hard to find these days... well... I don't know... like Clinton 2.0 said, lobbyists are people, too. :eyes:

3. I've been debating, Edwards - Kucinich
for the primary.

Edwards, I like his health plan

Kucinich, I have heard him, and in 2004 we pointed out in Hawaii that his ideas were great, but his short game was not good. He's worked on it and he's gotten much better at the short game...otherwise known as the thirty second spot

That said, him and I have a disagreement, and that is his pro life stance, but that is neither here or there

4. He learned since then, and is no longer anti-choice.
Same as Edwards with the war... or free trade, even? I thought he was once gung ho about it, anyway...

16. Well that is good to know
that said, I don't expect to agree with a candidate 100%, or all the time

If I did, I'd be a bushie

;-)

Then again, those are Lemmings

7. " ...but you are not a real democrat ..."
I am an American first raised with American values. If the Dem values don't fit, I don't have to blindly follow Dems. I don't have to refrain from fighting them and pointing out what I think they're doing wrong or not doing. I can go on a rant against the DLC which I see as poison to the Party.

American first.

Good post.

8. 5th recommendation. I'm listening now.
He knows what's going on, knows how to stop it, and has been correct more often than all the others combined.

What's not to like?

11. Kucinich is the only real change that would actually be what we claim we want
He's been there 1st on every issue. Saw what Iraq would be before we invaded. Sees the "need" for impeachment. Unlike Edwards, he doesn't think we should leave troops and permanent bases in Iraq. Unlike Edwards, Kucinich doesn't want to bring insurance companies to the "table" to bargain over healthcare. Kucinich says they've been there feasting for decades and need to get another job and introduced not for profit single payer health care for all Americans. Unlike Edwards, Kucinich would end NAFTA and withdraw us from the WTO immediately.
Kucinich is way ahead of all the candidates on every issue and is extremely dedicated. I like Edwards too because he can't be bought and speaks truth to power like Kucinich does. The perfect ticket would be Kucinich/Edwards '08...the truth ticket. No matter who the democrat is that we nominate, they will be the next president. Dems will win in '08 by default because of the horror of the Bush administration, so "electability" is not an issue in this Presidential race. Nominate Kucinich and he will be the next president. He's not part of the 'two sides of the same coin' philosophy. He will bring a "real" difference to the Nation. He's the one and only candidate who is the representation of all we say we want from our president.
Kucinich/Edwards '08...the truth ticket...make it happen.

13. I hate to be a Cassandra on this
but I do not think it is guaranteed that the Dems will take the WH in '08

I just don't, and it was exactly this type of thinking that was pervasive in 1988.

We both know that the Dems didn't win the WH, and instead we got Bush Senior

So this thinking is more than just a little dangerous

14. But Dennis the system IS RIGGED
ask about oh... insert Diebold here, for example

That does not mean that we should seat this one out, or not go to the polls

But the system IS rigged. The question is, can we overcome the rigging one vote at a time

15. Great Interview. I am making ANOTHER donation to the Kucinich campaign. Thanks Ed.
My hat's off to Ed (who I bash a lot here) for giving all the candidates an opporutnity to face a three hour microphone.

I AM VOTING KUCINICH. He is the ONLY candidate that WILL rid us of NAFTA and get Americans the Health Care system we need.

19. So does Chris Dodd
we have a fine collection of folks who believe in it, but they are second tier candidates since our media cares not
to let us make the decision
