Do y'all ever wonder what GHW Bush must really think about his son's
performance in the WH? I didn't vote for him or for Reagan or any Republican ever, for that matter, but I never felt afraid of my president until this one. I didn't necessarily trust them implicitly, but I never thought that they might be doing something for purely selfish gain until this one. Until this one, I respected the office, even if I didn't respect the man; but this one has so tainted the office itself that it is going to take some time for me to feel differently and trust the office once again.

2. mixture of pride and exasperation?
He's got to be a tiny bit resentful about Junior getting a second term (and the boy likely is not shy about rubbing his dad's nose in that, based on what we already know about his character).

3. Who remembers that Ross Perot dropped out for a time?
because the Bush people had threatened to 'disrupt" Perot's daughters wedding. Perot was labeled then as "crazy" and paranoid because most people thought that the Bushs were honorable people that wouldn't do anything that horrible. Wonder how many still feel that way knowing that Dubya was part of the gang trying to get GHW Bush reelected?

4. I was plenty worried about Poppy at the time.
He just was never as brazen in his corruption as dubya.
