Oh my. "an xxx-kissing little chickenshxt"?
From thinkprogress.org:

In January, President Bush replaced Abizaid and Casey, who were “surge” skeptics, with Adm. William Fallon and Gen. David Petraeus. This week, Petraeus — first public hearings since taking on his new role — delivered his Iraq assessment to great media fanfare. But where was his boss, Admiral Fallon? Inter-Press Service suggests animosity between the two might be one reason for Fallon’s absence:

Fallon told Petraeus that he considered him to be “an ass-kissing little chickensh*t” and added, “I hate people like that”, the sources say. That remark reportedly came after Petraeus began the meeting by making remarks that Fallon interpreted as trying to ingratiate himself with a superior.

The Washington Post reported this weekend that there is an internal military debate, described as “Armageddon,” brewing between Petraeus and Fallon because the two men have “profoundly different views of the U.S. role in Iraq.”

Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) announced today that he will be asking Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) to call Fallon to testify on “his views on the region.” Webb decried the lack of independence in Petraeus’s reporting, observing that there are “a lot of control factors going on that haven’t been visible” from the one-sided testimony of Petraeus:

4. How long till Fallon gets the boot?
Dubya doesn't like his military to talk back. It's all about respecting their opinions.....as long as they agree with his.

This Petraeus Report is the biggest bunch of propaganda since the WMD bit. And look where that one got us!

5. Fallon sounds legit to me.
There had also been talk of a third carrier battle group arriving in the Gulf earlier in the year but, according to historian and analyst Gareth Porter, the idea was stamped on by Admiral William Fallon, then Bush's nominee to head the Central Command (CENTCOM) region which includes the Middle East. According to Porter's sources Fallon "vowed privately there would be no war against Iran as long as he was chief of CENTCOM".

Porter continued: "Fallon's refusal to support a further naval buildup in the Gulf reflected his firm opposition to an attack on Iran and an apparent readiness to put his career on the line to prevent it. A source who met privately with Fallon around the time of his confirmation hearing and who insists on anonymity quoted Fallon as saying that an attack on Iran "will not happen on my watch".

Asked how he could be sure, the source says, Fallon replied, "You know what choices I have. I'm a professional." Fallon said that he was not alone, according to the source, adding, "There are several of us trying to put the crazies back in the box.""

8. Maybe Fallon helped Jon Stewart's team write up the
Wonderful side by side comparison of what Petraeus said vs. What Bush said.

First, Bush says, some weeks back, The surge is working.
Then Petraeus says, currently, the Surge is working.

Then Bush says, some weeks back, that those who think we are losing don't realize the progress that we are making
Then Petraeus says on Monday that those who think we might not be winning don't realize the progress being made in the region.

Then Bush says that if we were to pull out, the nation of Iraq would face a catastrophe.
ThenPetraeus says, If we were to leave now, the Iraqi people would be facing a calamity.
