This really tries my opposition to capital punishment: 6 year old hung after being sexually abused

"A 6 year old girl was found hanged inside her family's garage and had been sexually assaulted before she died, police said Wednesday."

Mom says that the last time she saw her was at around 1AM Monday sleeping on the couch.

There's a special place in hell (whatever or wherever hell is/if there is one)for people who do this.

What a gruesome case.

However, it does not "test" my position. No to the death penalty in all cases.

I hope the person(s) responsible are caught, given a fair and free trial and given a life sentence.

2. I hate to imagine how she died.

I guess that suggests several applications of trauma. Beaten, choked, stabbed, drowned, who knows. They need to catch the SOB that did this.

3. I saw that earlier

and I swear I did not even want to click the link. I was speechless then, and still don't have anything coherent to say about it. Between that black woman yesterday, and the feds not filing hate crimes charges; and now this; I don't even know. Remember the man left in his wheel chair for days? That ought to be news and I never saw a blip on the tv. I just don't even know what has taken over this country.

4. I can't stand stories about abused kids

How terrible for that little girl. She's not much older than my daughter. I can't imagine how anyone could do that. It's really horrifying.

I ordered a book yesterday called Protecting the Gift by Gavin de Becker. I've read his book called The Gift of Fear. This new book is about trying to protect your children from violence.

This story will give me a nightmare tonight.
