I'm back - but I've still HAD IT! |
|
My apologies to those of you who might (?) have worried. It has been a God-Awful time, I'm exhausted and SICK AND TIRED of the lies that keep spilling out of Washington. I'm disgusted with Pelosi and her crowd. I'm saddened over the horrendous human loss at the hands of BushCo. It's just too much to bear at times and yesterday was a *peak* of angst, if you will. My husband has been battling cancer for the past 10 years - has had 2 hospitalizations this summer and is home on tube-feedings and continuous oxygen, so it's a bit much on our plates. My step-daughter came over today to *babysit* her dad and I took myself out to a double feature. Was good to have a few hours to just 'chill'. So - that's that!
But, I'm still pissed and January '09 cannot come quickly enough.

Being a caregiver is as tough as it is rewarding. I'm glad you got that time for yourself today.

7. Schedule regular downtime |
|
it is so stressful to take care of a chronically ill loved one. is it possible for you to have a regular "day off" to decompress?
I understand your feeling of frustration about politics... it's like watching a slo-mo train wreck each day that BushCo is in office. When you think it can't get any worse with them -- it does.
there is also a lot of tension on this site -- I guess it's always this way, but it's hard sometimes to read threads and see ppl attack one another constantly.
glad you are feeling better.

My mom went through much the same with my dad, who had cancer and also a bad heart. It IS stressful and you have enough to deal with as it is. Leave that goddamn Pelosi to us - we'll bitch about her enough for you, too! We've got your back, girl.
