Politics: General Petraeus made the Democrats look like idiots during the recent hearings. Despite being called a liar by many of the people on the dais, he maintained poise and control. These clowns (the Dems) even had talking points even before the report was released. Proves they are NOT even listening. The truth is that the Democrats' new strategy is the old strategy, which is cut and run. These people want to see America lose .... that is the only way they can win in 2008. Hillary's questioning of Petraeus was particularly sickening. She actually said one had to be willing to "suspend disbelief" in order to believe Petraeus. In other words, she called a 4-star General a liar. This is the same man that was unanimously approved for the position just a few months ago.

Me thinks if the General had negative news, they would have all had public orgasms.

1. Patreus was NOT there in his capacity as General. He was there as official spokesperson for Bush.

And he was ORDERED to lie.

He did what a good soldier did-- he followed his orders and completed his mission-- as ordered-- including the part where he said Bush didn't tell him what to say.
