If someone ever came up to my Mother or any of my Family and said that in my presence, it would be a life-altering experience for them.

Would Kathy Griffin ever do anything to help tortured/raped/imprisoned Christians? The Religious Right in this country largely doesn't seem to care (witness the Evangelical lockstep support for the Iraq war), and neither does the Left either, it would seem.

25. This is how NOT to reach out to the African American community

African Americans are the most religious group in this country (Hispanics as well). At the same time, their interests don't often coincide with the agenda of the Religious Right. Yet, Repubs look for instances of Christianity-bashing on the Left side as a way to wedge African Americans from the Democratic Party. With an increase in African Americans voting Republican (and more black immigrants who don't have the ancestral ties to the Dems that U.S.-born blacks do), the Dems need to wise up and stop this foolishness or they will lose a major constituency.
