Secrecy, mystery, continue to shroud Sep 11 attacks
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=281714

Six years after 9/11, the American public have still not been provided with a full and truthful account of the single greatest terror attack in US history.
snip...
The chair and vice chair of the 9/11 Commission, respectively Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, assert in their book, Without Precedent, that they were "set up to fail" and were starved of funds to do a proper investigation. They also confirm that they were denied access to the truth and misled by senior officials in the Pentagon and the federal aviation authority;
and that this obstruction and deception led them to contemplate slapping officials with criminal charges.

Despite the many public statements by 9/11 commissioners and staff members acknowledging they were repeatedly lied to, not a single person has ever been charged, tried, or even reprimanded, for lying to the 9/11 Commission.
One wonders what is the price for perjury to the 911 commission and obstructive justice???

Nobody has prosecuted the Liars

9. getting to the truth about 9/11 is not a luxury . . . it is a necessity if we want . . .
to save our democracy . . .

9/11 has been used to justify everything from the invasion and occupation of Iraq to the theft of individual rights and liberties at home to massive spying on American citizens . . . most people accept the government's version of what happened -- even though it's full of holes, contradictions, and outright lies . . .

it is essential that the truth about 9/11 -- whatever it may be -- be found out and told to the American people if we ever want to get our country back from those who stole it . . . and in seeking the truth, we must always one question in mind: "Who benefited?" . . .

Kean and Hamilton didn't want to play the blame game during the investigation, instead focusing on systemic failures. Yet, in their book what did they do to answer growing criticism of their CYA investigation? They played the blame game. Accountability for astonishing across the board failures which led to the murder of 3,000 citizens? Nope. No blame. Protecting their reputations from critics? Yes. Somebody had to be blamed for such outrageous accusations of CYA and cover up.

REP. LEE HAMILTON: The whole mindset of the Commission is very different from the one your question suggests. Our mindset was focused on the future, not on the past. We did look back; we had to look back to try to understand how we could improve things, but we really took most seriously the responsibility to try to figure out how to prevent this from happening in the future.

We believe that if we had looked back and said, okay, this figure, that figure was responsible for 9/11, it would just have created a firestorm, and we would have had no chance of putting forward recommendations that would be acceptable to the Congress and to the president and to the American people. We would have destroyed any chance of a bipartisan result here.

Our principal task, as we saw it, was to try to help make the country more secure and looking back, and assigning blame to a person or even an agency wasn't the way to do it.

Jim LehrerJIM LEHRER: And you made that decision, Congressman, right at the very beginning, you were not going to do that, the ten of you?

REP. LEE HAMILTON: We made the decision very early on that we were not going to play the blame game, that that was not what we wanted to do and that if we were going to make a constructive, positive contribution to the future, we had to approach this in a different way.

And as we looked into it, we more and more became persuaded that the failures here were not individual but systemic. And that was what we then began to focus on.

13. latest poll (this week/last) shows that at least thirty PERCENT of americans still believe
Saddam was personally involved!!!!!

does anybody really need to no more than that?

there's the reason the fascists still maintain power.

the media has almost completely, unquestioningly vomited forth the lies of the Fascist Party for how many years now?

You can go back at least as far as Reagan
