Did anyone else just hear Chuck Hagel call Meredith Viera(sp?) |
|
"dear"?
Then, Ann Curry called her "dear" sarcastically, when Meredith passed the camera to her.
How condescending! Although Hagel seems slightly saner than the average Republican.

1. Jeeze, how is that condescending? It's considered an endearment that |
|
wouldn't bother me, as I even use it occasionally.

Appropriate, no.
Can't blame him, though. I've had a crush on Meredith ever since I was a kid in New England and she was a local news head.

I'm sorry but Viera AND Curry are among the worst out there in the fake news business. Add in the idiot Lauer and you have the Three Stooges Redux. I can hardly watch any national news anymore - they're all just awful. I had on GMA this AM. Before I could get to the remote to turn it off, their brilliant, objective newsmodelperson (I don't know their names)began a Snowjob report by letting all of know how "Tony Snow has captured our hearts..."!! He's a part of the gang that has captured our country, but our hearts??! Yes, his illness is terrible - but a liar is a liar, especially when he's involved in destroying our country and our freedom.

"We'll be back, with Moron Today," is what they say before every commercial.

I'm surprised they could find a spokesman who didn't call Matt Lauer "dear."

10. It was only condescending because she insisted asking a stupid question... |

saying he was stopping fighting against the war because he was not running for President or Senator. He tried to tell her twice that this did not mean he would not fight and that there were still 16 months, but she was refusing to listen (I wished to insisted as much yesterday with Rice, or that the Press corps insisted yesterday when Tony Snow answered Iraq was not an open-ended committment because we would eventually win).

So the "dear" wasn't affectionate? LOL!
On edit--that's a pretty awful thing to accuse him of, to say that he only spoke out against the war for campaign/political reasons. She was lucky to get off with just "dear".
