1. I saw on TeeVee yesterday (forgot which talking head) that Chimpster

was really asking for the additional money in order to "buy" the war in advance for the rest of his term. Maybe he's expecting the funding fights to get more contentious as time goes on, and wants to secure the money now? Or, maybe he is asking for it to fund action against Iran?

2. and what will the Democrats do? Will they remind people that this war

had NOTHING to do with 9/11. What about revisiting the past, and the reasons we invaded Iraq? No link to 9/11, no WMDS?

They say al queada is in Iraq, but the reality is that the Shia majority who now control Iraq, are sworn enemies with al queada. I have no doubt if we left tomorrow, they would deal with AQ very swiftly without our interference
