Billo Caught Lying AGAIN on "Radio Factor"
I'm shocked!
O'Reilly Can Get the Same NY Times Ad Rate As MoveOn.org
... despite what he said today about the anitwar group allegedly having received a special discount rate for their General Petreaus display ad.

Steve Young
American Politics Journal

Sept. 13, 2007 – Hollywood (apj.us) – Bill O'Reilly spent nearly the entire first hour of today's edition of The Radio Factor obsessed... er, focused on the MoveOn's full-page "General Petraeus" ad that ran at the beginning of the week in the NY Times. Billo was peddling the claim that that "if you're a left-wing smear site, the Times will give you a discount."

Billo's "reporting" was itself based on a report from ABC's Jake Tapper, who said that Moveon.org received a 65% break as a "family discount," because the Times and Moveon are supposedly in bed with each other.

Read the rest here. Horrors! Whatever will we tell the children?

2. I swear that Bill O. is turning into Peter Griffin from Family Guy.
"Why son, everything I say is a lie. Except that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that."

3. I heard a rumor that the "radio factor' is about to be euthanized
Apparently it ain't making any money for whoever was dumb enough to invest in it in the first place.

It'll be fun to hear billo try to spin that.

4. I used to publish a magazine...last minute ads always got a good deal.
Like the article said, if you're willing to leave it up to the layout guys when your ad appears, you can negotiate just about any rate you want. Every time you see your cable company advertising on your television -- the tv which already has cable -- it means they couldn't sell the ad space. Likewise in print, every time you see a full page ad (or any size ad) promoting some aspect of the newspaper, it means the space couldn't be sold, so at the eleventh hour they'd rather practically give it away and get SOME money for it, rather than wasting another pound of ink on self-promotions or PSAs.

Why should anyone be surprised that O'Reilly is a lying sack?

6. Right. I used to design house ads for a pub, to be used where they hadn't sold space. nt

7. KICK -- and a note
Most of the wingnut media was on this story today. There seems to be some pushback in the blogs and on Air America.
