So let him stew in the monster he helped to create. Let him stew in the stench of war and blood until he licks that off his lips instead of his man-crush spittle.

1. I'm with you!!1 Yet, right here, unbelievably in DU, he has supporters who say
"Tweety always opposed this war" and "because he has draft age sons"!!1

3. Much worse than that
Was he did everything in his power to stop Kerry from being elected with his propagandistic spewing. He is the ONE-yes more than any other person on television that I will never watch again.

He's a freaking psycho. He was always AGAINST the war in Iraq but he was in love with Bush. What can you do with someone like that? It gives me the creeps.

7. Yes, his snark machine was firing on all cylinders back then
I admire that you've turned him off completely.

4. You know some people grow in 7 years.
We all arent the same person we were 7 years ago.

My parents voted for Gore in 2000, and Bush in 2004, I guess I should hate them, shouldnt I.

9. He has such a pulpit to work public opinion
Your parents might not have had the exposure that Matthews enjoys.

If he's had an epiphany, it's come too late for the soldiers and Iraqis who have been killed. I do hope he has seen some light. But I have serious doubts.

11. I'm not sure wth that's supposed to mean, but let's look at the intelligence of your sentiment....
Presumably, if you don't forgive Tweety for voting for bush in 2000, then you forgive none of the Bush voters.

Ok, so where does that leave you?

And where does that leave them?

On opposite sides of a pointless wall constructed by you.

Who knew in 2000 that Bush would lead the US (and countless others) into an uneccessary war? You?
No.

So, don't sing "kumbya", but don't throw out this silly posturing and blame to people who voted for Bush. Many of those people we want to vote for a Democrat in '08. If you tell them they'll never be "forgiven" for their past vote, then why should they join with you?

12. I could tell by W's history that he was trouble
And he has been.

I don't forgive Matthews and anyone else who voted for him and who stood behind him over the years.

Now, I've had my last say to you. Take the last word between us if you wish.

13. Ok. Last word is this: you are not what America (and the world) needs now.
I'll leave you to figure that out.

15. I, for one, DON'T "forgive" any of the MORONS who thought that NINCOMPOOP
BUSH was more worthy to sit in the Oval Office than Al GORE.

GORE WON, so we don't need the Republican Regret vote.

8. If I could understand...
how these 'news folk' sit up there night after night and spew utter bullshit while the curtain is closing on the democracy of this nation, I might be able to forgive. I'm not there yet.

17. I'm right there with you, eleny
He has blood all over him. Unlike an ordinary bush voter, he had a lot of influence and he cheered bush all the way, what with his silly man crushes and his fawning.

He says the right thing more often than not these days. I see it as guilt, not a change of heart. he's smart enough to know what he was doing and what bush was doing.

I wonder if he still keeps his nose up the now-retired Jack Welch's ass.

18. I might consider thinking about it if he breaks down in tears and decries his error. In public!
Not that I'll forgive him even then, but I might think about it.
