Edwards went right at the Bush myth that 9/11 and Iraq were connected....
Bush has pulled that 'oldie but goodie' out and used it to try and justify all manner of things, including the invasion of Iraq.

Edwards was heard to say they are not related in any way, and it is time to end the war and bring the troops home.

Edwards could not have been any more clear --Bush is wrong. Congress should stop him, RIGHT NOW.

Edwards would be the agent for change as our President.

3. Edwards used his own funds to bring the message to the American People, Thank You John!
We cannot compromise on this. Our troops and the Iraqis are dying, all to provide political cover and preserve the legacy of a Presidential disaster.

It is immoral to continue this war.

Thanks for putting it out there for everyone to see.

4. Right at it!
And if he didn't look like RFK in the last shot I don't know who would, it was eerie.

5. People are waking up early this election cycle, and they like what they see in Edwards...
Edwards has been hitting all the right notes, and people are taking notice.

THis was the right thing to do --use some funds and go right at 'the Decider.'

It is even more outstanding given Congress' failure to cut off the funding to end the war in Iraq.

6. Edwards being outside of Congress gives him a platform to speak the truth to Bush and Congress....
How in the world can members of Congress allow this blatantly offensive policy of this Administration to go unchallenged?

Edwards just defined it for everyone to see.

7. I think hes a little too late.
I think its great he spent his own money to counteract bush but being in a campaign year it loses credibility with me. They said this is the 8th address bush has made on the war, if Edwards would have done this after the 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th or 7th address, it would have been great. Instead we gave bush the power to start the war and continued to fund the war for political reasons and now he will walk away from what hes done!

8. Well OK... I will put you in the column preferring the Truth not be told because it is too late.....
... at least according to your own personally adopted timetable.

Make sure you spread the word.... tell other candidates not to stand up to Bush either, because you have determined it is 'too late.'

9. Two myths with one stone.
9/11 is connected to Iraq and congress is powerless to stop it. Great shot John.

10. Yes, I appreciate Edwards saying that, but
he should have said something about why the democrats in the Senate cannot get anything passed. Should have told the american people the republicans require a cloture vote on everything related to Iraq and the troops and if it was a simple majority the democrats could pass the bills the american people want them too in regards to bringing the troops home....

Edwards could have also told the people that the president would veto any bill concerning iraq and troop reduction and it would take 67 votes to over ride the veto.....Edwards should have.....as well as all the candidates and that includes HRC in whom I support and I have written her campsign to express these views.....

I would like to see early sampling of polls and what the people thought of bushes speech and the ratings for his speech. I would venture to say it was a weak audience and the polls will reflect they do not agree with the president about staying in iraq....

I do thank you
Ben David

13. I imagine that the 2 min purchased was expensive and Edwards could not give a detailed explanation
... in the time allotted.

However, people should remember... "No Timeline. No Funding. No Excuses."
