Do you still believe in war -- at all -- ???? |
|
Came upon this comment by Tony Bennett the other day ....
"Every song has an emotional story, Bennett explains. It's his job to put that story across. These days the story of his favorite song -- the melancholy, homesick "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" -- has an unspoken political edge. "You think of the boys in Iraq," he says. "When I sing it, it's like my own personal prayer on stage." "Privately I wish -- I wish -- I wish that everybody would get sensible enough to get the boys back home as soon as possible."
Bennett, who liberateda concentration camp in World War II and marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. in Selma, Alabama, says that the Iraq war has turned him into a pacifist, opposed to all wars. "Fight a war is the lowest form of human behavior," he says. "It's not intelligent. It's not constructive. It's devastating."

1. Harper's had an article a couple weeks ago |
|
about how war has essentially become obsolete as a means of foreign policy. I thought it had some really good points.

is when human rights are being violated.
I do not understand why the world tolerates ANY leader who abuses power in that way. Well...I understand why it happens...it's all about money and power. But, I dont think the world should stand by and let genocide, torture, etc, occur unchecked.
Saddam is a good example...I'm glad he's gone, but horrified at the lies and loss of innocent life.

3. I believe in Just Battles...not Just Wars. |
|
A Just Battle is self-defense. Cops can self defend themselves if under a credible threat. How many credible threats are there? Not many, if any. It's all manifest destiny. There's a reason China is taking over control right now...their way of philosophy is making a comeback. It's the endless loop of East vs West. North vs. South.
If anyone can not tell the Shadow Government is controlling everything...well then my god...please take off your glasses and use your third eye. This is quite ridiculous. I'm not insane either...the answers couldn't be anymore clearer. The Government wants us to revolt. They did too good a job brainwashing the masses though it's NOT going to happen. People just simply don't care anymore.
2012 or whatnot...something very strange is going on. That I can attest to. Maybe I've brainwashed myself to the state of clairvoyance but really...how I believe in Karma...this nation is going to get a pounding one of these days by some force.
